Say I have a stroke and say it is my second stroke. As discussed in previous videos, the radiologist who is interpreting my current brain images may not have access to my previous brain images. Without the previous brain images the radiologist can’t make accurate comparisons between the old and new strokes.

If I was able to provide the radiologist with a copy of my previous brain images they can:

  • Write a better report, and therefore give the neurologist better information to use before choosing the best treatment approach.
  • Answer some of my questions like what is the likelihood that I’ll recover this time.
